In order to reduce the visual interference of the context, and frame the views, horizontally-placed narrow openings are the motif. Openings on the eastern elevation bring views to the 2F and 3F rooms. Except for the entrance and a square opening, the others on the northern elevation follow the same motif. With a back door and narrow openings, the western elevation meets the client’s request and brings in ever-changing daylight. The East Rift Valley can be viewed through the giant opening on the southern elevation; a roofless courtyard frames the sky and plays as a buffer between spaces.
