Located in the midst of the Unesco Natural Heritage area of the Sexten Dolomites, Bistro Bergsteiger fits properly and carefully in its natural and built context. The new volume is integrated into the surrounding topography and aligns with the listed protected building. In terms of materiality, it is inspired by the nearby listed structure, making a contemporary reinterpretation of the old decorative motif. The interior is designed in order to offer an undisturbed view to visitors. The result is an architecture that is "appropriate" to the context, which nevertheless develops with character.
