Zhejiang Institute of Turbomachinery and Propulsion System is a distinctive research & development base. The architectural spaces reasonably express the attribute for turbomachinery manufacturing, and the method of "framed view" is adopted to highlight the diversified combinations and interpenetrating forms of the building blocks. Through extracting turbine elements and applying them to architecture, the design team created an architectural and spatial form bespoke for "turbomachinery", hence evoking a strong sense of place.
