85 % of Singaporeans are living in high rise high density public housing. Taman Jurong Community Club is a community building that provides public recreational and communal amenities for residents living in Taman Jurong public housing district. Due to lack of land, the Extension project is built over the existing open basketball court. The main design issue is how to retain the our original design concept and spatial experience of existing CC which is open, informal, porous and tropical, and translate this concept in a compact vertical setting.
