The ship in Astrid Lindgren‘s fairy which named Pippi Longstocking is seen as an object that inspires children‘s dreams and imaginations. In addition, many ships are moored at the harbor in the city center. Based on these reference points, the building structure is developed in the form of a Scandinavian longship. By turning towards the water, the curvature of the building hovers above sea level and thus attracts attention. In the old town, the new building is a foreign body that can be integrated into its surroundings thanks to its references to the historical and morphological context.
