Once a mining tower, now an abandoned relic of the past. The tower was a symbol of hope and livelihood for the inhabitants in the area as coal mining was the only reason of prosperity in the town. Currently, water fuels the crops of the land and this source is in danger due to climate change. Hence drowning the tower forming the largest water catchment that will be housed in the once glorious tower of saint Albert. The tower will be a catalyst that will revive the mining region of Belgium. Therefore, the tower serves as a haven, storing as well as empowering the community about conservation.
