Montreal Biodôme is from a commissioned series for architects KANVA, to capture their remodelling of the Montreal Biodôme. The original building was a velodrome for the Montreal Olympics in 1976, by architect Roger Taillibert. Following an early revamp in 1992, it reopened as The Biodôme - a new kind of museum about the natural world with a more holistic approach to presenting captive nature. With a series of striking circulation spaces wrapped in white tensile fabric, KANVA have re-discovered the magic of Taillibert's original and re-imagined the curation of animals and plants on display.
