Victorian style is a very unusual pick for a house on Lake Como but Canadian Interior Designer Linda Allen made a grand use of it in this unconventional apartment. Mixed with industrial, antique and modern design elements on a background of vibrant colours and dark tones it gives the reading key of the infamous history that marks this mid 18th century Palazzo: Benito Mussolini spent his last two nights in this villa before being captured and killed. Nothing has been left to recall this episode but the design intends to be a flashback to the past with an element of the present.
