During 2017 and 2019, travelling to many unknown stepwells in western India introduced me to the amazing world of architecture of the past. Even though they are abandoned, the beauty of texture, proportion, space and light is exceptional. This series of photographs are some of the unique stepwells from my ongoing photographic research on historic architecture.
