This project converts a neglected single-family residence into a 3-unit residential building on the eastern slope of Twin Peaks in San Francisco, allowing for sweeping views of the city from each of the five floors at the rear of the building. The front elevation is a composition of steel frames with aluminum windows and integrally colored cement plaster infilling the steel framework. Sheer curtains and walnut wood veneer at the interior spaces add layers of warmth and variation to an otherwise taught exterior massing.
