This tribute to 21 Montreal women introduces a monumental gesture at the heart of the city: an inclined, flowery meadow. Its 21 varieties of plants will flower in sequence, in tribute to les Montréalaises. The space invites discovery with a series of thresholds on varying scales, engaging the site and its users: the forest, the meadow, the architectural objects. The concept won an anonymous international design competition with its stunning reconnection of Old Montreal and the modern city. Unique in its transdisciplinarity, it merges architecture, landscape architecture and art at every stage
