We infused the idealized water ripples in Spark Capital’s logo- symbolic of how the company’s impact reverberates across their collaborators- into the design of their new office. A wood screen linking the reception to the team area lets light through a CNC-milled pattern with portholes that offer a focused view between public and private spaces. We experimented with molded wood veneer to create concentric forms of varying depths at the ceiling. The result is a dynamic lighting installation that brings texture and scale to the space with ripples floating overhead, as if one were under water.
