Situated on the lakeshore of Ammersee, the house by Jacob & Spreng overlooks one of the Bavarian lakes in Fünfseenland. Photographing during summer had its benefits. The long daylight hours granted that extra time between motifs to experience and get a genuine feel for the architecture, which in turn positively influenced the photography. To capture the building at its best, I moved slowly and observed the light as it constantly changed. In particular, I wanted to document the shingle facade, a natural material with an aesthetic quality that changes in appearance with the time of day.
