Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf

The theater building was opened in 1970. Behind the curved, white sheet metal façade, there is also the stage house, which is the highest part of the building, the main stage and other side stages. The undulating, organic-abstract form language of the building is reminiscent of changes in form, of the process of change in nature, but also makes one think of an oversized theater curtain. In the background stands another architectural monument, the “Dreischeibenhaus”.
