The Hedberg places Tasmania at the forefront of Australia’s performing arts scene, a cultural and education destination to inspire a generation. Co-located with the oldest operating Australian theatre The Hedberg integrates performance hubs, venues, practice and rehearsal spaces, creative workshop ‘laboratories’ and adaptive reuse of the heritage-listed Hedberg Garage. Practice, production and presentation are brought together with formal and informal cultural activation to showcase the cross-disciplinary creative capacity of Hobart to the world. The Hedberg presents, a festival in a building.
