Completing a colossal 400K m²-project and a decade-long endeavor, the last phase of the new CHUM provides Montréal with a place for interactions between the medical community and the public. Preceded by the construction of the Research Centre and most of the hospital, it makes the CHUM a true academic medical hub where scientific research, teaching and healthcare coexist and interact. The 74K m²-project includes two towers housing outpatient clinics, learning commons and offices. A copper-clad multipurpose conference center sits at the heart of the Plaza around which the complex is organized.
