This image is from a series commissioned to document the transformation of three industrial era gas storage cylinders into contemporary apartments at London's King's Cross train station. The project is part of a wider program of renewel of a once dilapidated tract of land near the station in the British capital. Three new housing drums have been inserted into the original wrought-iron gas holder frames. The design for the adaptive re-use of these iconic structures is by the UK's Wilkinson Eyre Architects and Jonathan Tuckey Design.
