The Bryn Mawr Temp Station is a small part of CTA’s modernization project encompassing reconstruction of track structures and stationhouses on Chicago’s north side. This Stationhouse provides continuous transit for the Edgewater neighborhood over the 5-year construction period. The Station is located on a busy avenue. Given traffic speed and scale of adjacent buildings, the small structure had to punch above its weight in scale and visibility. The playful shape is dramatized by bold red color. The tower is a beacon on the busy street. Inexpensive materials will be re-used and/or recycled.
