The Hynthesizer-Project represents a productionsite and participation center for textiles produced from the invasive water hyacinth. It is based on Lake Nokoué in Benin and part of the cities of Ganvié and Tchanhoué. It was designed as speculative bachelorthesis-project in the Studio of Professor Francis Kéré at the Technical University of Munich. It follows the rules of Ganviés vernacular architecture and uses only local wood and textiles as building materials. It is placed in the urban formation of the surrounding fishingfields and extends its function, by performing as boat cinema at night.
