360° Jakomini - Roof Extension

Innovations in town-planning in historical cities. The intention was and is, to bring the residential population back to the city- center of Graz. The roof-extension of the residential building is defined by 3 storeys and connects to the ridge height of the neighboring houses. The vertical and inclined roof-facades exists of 3-pane insulated glass. The sun protection is defined by highly reflective and weatherproof perforated fabric, opaque from the outside, semi- transparent from the inside. The existing and new structure combines a holistic architecture which shall include diversity and multiplicity.
