Founded on the idea that creating a space of free public expression is itself a radical way of questioning ways in which the city is reproduced or expanded today, Perpetual Spring, The Climate-Correcting Machine, commissioned for the exhibition Architecture and Heritage: Unearthing Future, opened September 2019, presenting both platform for awareness and invitation to action. Offering a place of comfort in severe weather, it featured a free open-access venue for public use on museum grounds: for lectures, poetry readings, theater, music, discussion groups of all kinds, book club sessions, etc.
