CITY INTEGRATED CAMPUS BUILDING IN CLOSE CONTACT WITH THE ENVIRONMENT Based on JUUL | FROST Architects’ winner project for the campus area at Örebro University in Sweden, the architecture studio designed and programmed three buildings on the site. The icon building of the area is Business School NOVA - also known as The NOVA House. The NOVA House is with its auditorium for 560 people and state of the art acoustic a learning- and meeting place for the university, the business community and the city. The building opens up with its large glass facade towards the campus space and emphasises thus JUUL | FROST Architects’ basic thought that openness and visibility support a modern, innovative and future study environment. A holistic study environment is created where knowledge sharing and new meetings across backgrounds and professions continuously occur. At night the translucent glass facade of The NOVA House glows and invites students and citizens inside in the main atrium - the floating heart of the building. The process for The NOVA House has been unique with its smooth dialogue based cooperation between the architect, the contractors and the client, which has created the perfect platform for the formation of the new high profile building.
