Group 8 Headquarters

Group 8 Headquarters is a split-level office fit into a tight sloping site. In the evening, appropriate to a media production studio, the building lights up the residential alley while exposing the drama of the central staircase and sky to the street. In the daytime, the facade screens views from the exterior while allowing in maximum North working light. On the three floors that sit fully above grade, each studio team is given an entire wing to itself, while the split-level design enables easy communication. The bottom two basement floors offer employees relaxation and socialization, including a sunken garden, meeting rooms, and a two-storey vinyl LP library.
