On the 75th anniversary of the nuclear attack, Hiroshima, an international city of peace standing for anti-war and nuclear disarmament around the world, committed to renewal and commemoration. Community leaders, the Kamihatchi Kiteru (named after Aioi’s two main intersections), identified Aioi District near Peace Memorial Park, as an epicenter of future redevelopment, maintaining aspirations as a place of remembrance and contemplation.
