Project is a complex of dialysis clinic on ground floor and elderly housing on top. Housing for elderly person, who spend long time in interior space, should have sense of complexity to avoid their life being too monotonous. The space is envisioned as aggregation of unique home rather than a facility with homogeneous space. Responding to scale of surrounding neighborhood, small units are stacked in multiple directions. The building is constructed in steel structure. 6.4m by 6.4m grid is applied, and half size of the grid is added to consist single unit. Units are divided into three 20 square meter dwellings, or two 30 square meter dwellings. Total 35 dwellings are aggregated with complex arrangement. This result a multiple direction in interior and exterior space, becoming as a small village. Common area in middle is conceived as plaza, embraced by multi-directional dwellings. Each dwelling have openings to both exterior and interior. One can get a glimpse of each individual life through these inner windows, by its light, color of curtain, or any ornament set by its owner. While residents can feel each others life, the care-taker can also easily grasp each residents condition through non-closed, gently connected border.
