Crosswaters Ecolodge & Spa is one of the world’s top 50 ecolodges recommended by National Geographic Magazine of USA. It is also an example for development of domestic ecotourism, which has been realized ecological and environmental protection to the largest extent and a high-grade resort. Crosswaters Ecolodge & Spa lies in The Nankun Mountain National Forest Park of Guangdong, China. It is programmed on the base of vast secondary forest of Nankun Mountain. We try to avoid using concrete as far as possible and absorb inspiration from local old houses. This is a type of construction for folk architecture which is almost lost in big cities. Phase one of the hotel combines Hakka Hangtu wall with bamboo design element. When architecture dances gently with culture, they put on a harmonious performance with humanity and nature. Phase two follows this trend and goes further on technology. Entity models were made beforehand for verification and feasibility when roof construction technology imitates the curved line of the mountain. The facades of construction are made of vertical greening and bamboo shutters. Cooperated with Brayton Hughes Design Studio of interior design, timber is selected to go coordinating with the architectural touch basically.
