Zhujiajian Zen Town Urban Design

Zen town is located in the Zhujiajian island of Zhoushan. It is the only way to go to Mount Putuo，which is one of the four famous Buddhist mountains in China. The planning area is 81.1 hectares,and the total construction area is 405,500㎡. Zen town aims to show the traditional Chinese fine culture to tourists from all over the world, and meanwhile to become a world-class resort destination in Buddhist. Since located in the mountainous regions, the town guarantees ecological security in the first place,and the design fits into the current site, with each function block arranged reasonably.In terms of traffic plan, the plan imporve external and internal traffic at the same time,and promotes green traffic as its first priority.As for the spatial design, we insist the Chinese traditional urban pattern as the domainant spatial form, and learn from ancient towns.Streets run along rivers,and connected with decent bridges，river and town combine organically. In general, the design aims to create a modern-Chinese-style town with Buddhist moods and meet the needs of entertainment and leisure life as well.
