Walking through the winding field paths and a mist-shrouded suspension bridge, the entrance of Flower House Boutique Hotel is found. On the basis of the original houses, the designer combines new and old elements, mixing modern fashion with traditional architectural style of Hakka, then the old houses are refreshed and added with new flavor of modernized architecture. With multiple open courtyards and patios, Flower House Boutique Hotel is adorned with ponds and gentle landscaping, showing the architectural concepts of Hakka. The interconnecting structures creates a layered effect and a special experience for guests, unveiling new spaces, levels and ambiances at every turning. The Buffer area and Teahouse retain the original tile roofs and gray brick walls, the additional glass roofs make the sun shines through the interior space naturally. Different room design features in different buildings, but the traditional characteristics of Hakka throughout the concept. The living room and bedroom are separated by modern Chinese partition, forming the area as an intercommunicated but relatively private. Except the original grey brick walls which provide the ancient ambiance, the designer also uses a holistic wooden furniture, including beds, bedside cabinets & lamps, sofa and Chinese partitions, to protect the grey brick wall better.
