The Experience Floor, Hotel BLOOM!

The Experience Floor at Hotel BLOOM! in Brussels is a new concept in meetings, melding clever art and design to boost creativity and productivity. The space opened in November 2016 coinciding with the hotel’s 10-year anniversary. The Experience Floor comprises two underground floors featuring relaxed meeting spaces equipped with the latest technology. Hotel BLOOM! and is owner/operator Pandox were specific in their desire to have a unique and innovative space not previously seen before in Brussels. Virserius Studio’s idea behind the design was having a place where one could spend their entire day. That idea manifests the moment guests step off the elevator, where a ping pong table located nearby immediately invites guests to play. Another signature element incorporated was the hand-painted hopscotch on the floor of the prefunction area that is also mirrored on the ceiling above. Art played a pivotal role in conveying a sense of creativity in The Experience Floor. Virserius Studio referenced Belgium’s rich cartoon tradition with an eye to bring it to new generations. Together with lifestyle firm Imago Productions, V/S created a new set of cartoons, which can be found throughout The Experience Floor, playfully engaging in activities pertinent to a successful meeting.
