With the future being ever-changing and unpredictable, architecture today is incapable of responding to the rapid social changes. My project is about a methodology of regenerating an obsolete building in three phases with the major moves of add, penetrate and subtract. The project challenges the traditional role of architects to design a whole building in one go, and frees up the autonomy for dwellers to participate in the process. By designing a support infra+structure for access and services, it sets up a frame for inhabitants to freely customize their units with modular components.
