The Sundarbans is the largest mangrove ecosystem in the world. The project focuses on the ecologically sensitive areas at the boundaries of the mangrove reserve.Poor land development and use in surrounding communities leads to reduced productivity and increased reliance on illegal logging of mangrove resources, leading to biodiversity loss and tiger conflict. The project analyzes the reasons for livelihood choices made by surrounding communities and aims to achieve transformative climate adaptation by helping residents change land use patterns to promote more adaptive and sustainable livelihoods.
