I am drawn to the idea of creating images that not only embrace abstraction, ambiguity and minimalism, but also convey a strong graphic. This image is one of a series of black and white images that I have created, each featuring a building or structure that is vital to its city’s built “personality”. The image of the Aqua Tower, Chicago, seeks to express the graphical form and shapes of the architect’s design in a way that offers a unique two dimensional interpretation; a vision that may not be evident when viewing the building in its three dimensional reality.
