A seven-storey translucent glass bubble levitates above two heritage buildings below. In a feat of engineering magic, Sub Station No. 164 is perhaps the most original and entirely unexpected extension in the City of Sydney. This the anti-extension. Instead of regurgitating the frequently employed process of projecting an extension vertically, using every square inch of space, fjmt has produced what amounts to a commercial piece of art hovering in the sky.
