Located in Xuyi, Jiangsu, Little Theater is situated between the Huai River and the First Mountain Historic District. The design team attempted to build a vibrant little teahouse-style theater to continue the culture of tea and the Huangmei Opera through the renovation and utilization of the preserved sites and buildings. The recycled roof truss, watchboard, old brick, and the newly added U-shaped structure equipment wall enables the theater to realize the multi-dimensional integration of landscape, block texture, space opening, and dialogue between the old and the new.
