Occupying a full city block, the building engages the urban form at all of its 15 levels. A glass-enclosed stair along Pine Street positions the interior circulation patterns at the edge of the building, creating dramatic west-facing views to the Pike Place Market and Puget Sound. The interior contains a variety of sustainable and local materials and was designed to reflect a Pacific Northwest sensibility. Ceilings throughout the building contain suspended planks of salvaged or local wood, while other spaces have ceilings made of interlocking perforated metal.
