Set in the Irish countryside the design was to reflect the natural context, merging generous scale & proportions, culminating in a timeless comfortable family home. The challenge was to design the large rooms to maintain an understated cozy atmosphere. Materiality & spatial design play a huge role in achieving the balance between tactile & inviting, expansive & oversized with the sculptural staircase at the epicentre connecting old & new. The brief was to provide a harmonious series of spaces of the upmost quality, that functioned at the highest level for the whole family & future generations.
