Our unburnt circular tiles are made with 88%-93.5% waste material generated from industrial waste from a variety of sectors, specifically ceramic, glass and fly ash, then upcycled into loqa tiles, removing 37-39kg of waste per square metre. Manufacturing these tiles through chemical bonding allows us to significantly reduce the amount of carbon dioxide released during production compared to traditionally firing. Our tiles have similar properties to normal tiles, but are stronger by 80% and use very little water intake. They are versatile as they can be applied as facades, walls and furniture.
