In summer 2023, design interns investigated downtown Sioux Falls' 10th and 11th street viaducts. Their mission: enhance pedestrian access, connecting downtown, communities, and the Sioux River. They aimed to revitalize the site, integrating it with nature through smart pedestrian and vehicular connections. By creating diverse mixed-use areas, they sought to establish a vibrant identity for these viaducts. Research played a crucial role in understanding the site and included Sioux Falls history, traffic, amenities, the Riverline project, and future downtown plans.
