Taiwan holds the record for the most temples per area globally. However, the growth of urban spaces has led some temples to be overshadowed. An example is the "Former British Consulate at Takao Tourist Area," which has been redeveloped for tourism. This shift has caused divisions within the temple-focused community, leaving a once vibrant temple in a forgotten alley at the base of a mountain. While the temple's former liveliness has faded, its role in uniting the community through faith remains crucial. The situation prompts a need to rethink the link between faith and community planning.
