The design was guided by two driving factors. Firstly, there is the problem of bridging the socioeconomic gap in Atlanta. By blending programmatic elements with open natural space, the result is a vibrant indoor and outdoor space. In addition, a carbon-neutral structure based on mass timber would be designed that would not require the support of any structural columns. It comprises an External Truss System with a reinforcing web or crisscrossing members. There is also an Interior Trusses that is anchored to the elevator cores. Beams then attach to the bottom chord and span to the perimeter.
