Nourishing the Neighborhoods is a project that involves the creation of a mixed-use building, combining affordable social housing with a theater to connect the site neighborhoods, Hope Mill Theater and Ashton Canal, while also addressing housing issues in Ancoats. By analyzing the main site's issue - the lower-income group is the majority in this town - flexible modular housing units with community areas and apartment amenities is provided to meet the needs of theater artists and young adults.
