TOWNHOUSE IN BRUSSELS The task was to reposition the BNP Paribas Fortis HQ building in terms of design and infrastructure and to create links to the urban context. The building is encased in a dazzling, load-bearing façade with 300 columns that tames its imposing volume. The basic design idea of a "townhouse" is continued in the design of new pedestrian zones, a public inner courtyard and a green roof. The pursuit of sustainability takes aesthetic and energy-related factors into account. The 63,000 GFA offer excellent working conditions for the 4,500 employees with passive house standard.
