Located between two high-rise residential buildings in a community in Qingyang District of Chengdu City, the project consists of two rectangular volumes and an enclosed L-shaped courtyard. On the side of urban interface, the grey space "shadeway", made of a mixed steel and wood structure, is the main entrance to the entire community. The inner community center integrates the building structure, interior decoration and roof maintenance structure with multiple groups of umbrella-shaped log units. The glass windows facing the courtyard form a zigzag pattern along the structural units and blend in
