With clever use of a pair of movable walls, this apartment adapts as the family grows up and their needs change. In the short term, the movable walls create a bedroom for the parents while their kids share another bedroom. Once the kids get older, the walls will create two bedrooms for the kids. When the kids move out, the moveable walls can be moved out of the way to create a larger living/dining area, and a guest bedroom when needed. The ingenious design is sustainable, and upends the idea that growing families need to move.
