Constructed in the 1980s, the U.S. Bank Center had weathered the passage of time and offered little in terms of public amenities and street-level experience. The challenge was transforming this iconic downtown space into a dynamic workplace with a public-facing offering that would attract tenants and give back to the community. The design approach was deliberately holistic yet pinpointedly focused — from zooming out to consider the broader urban impact to zooming in on the finer details that nod to the building's Postmodern style.
