This 650 sq ft floating home on Seattle’s Lake Union blends tradition with modern efficiency for a small family of three. Resting on an original log float from the early 1900s, its design maximizes natural light through doors and skylights, creating a spacious feel. Cedar-clad with a weathering deck, it integrates with nature, while motorized skylights and sliding doors ensure ventilation. Reflecting the water’s light, it contrasts dark exteriors with light interiors, ideal for its floating setting.
