MixC is located in Chengdu, China. Unlike typical malls, the project has an enormous 50000㎡ central plaza that can be used for a diversity of multi-layered programmes. Abstraction of Impressionist Sea is the landscape’s concept. Movements of curvilinear waves are frozen in time and transformed into experiences. The transformative meta-reality of the ocean is materialized into site-specific morphology with mutual resonance and transference. The newly renovated plaza has enabled animated hybridisation of activities and lifestyles in the public realm and become a landmark commercial phenomenon.
