The GEAR is designed as Kajima's regional headquarters, seamlessly integrating three functions: office, R&D, and open innovation. KaTRIS runs its laboratories here for leading construction technologies including robotics, fostering open innovations in collaboration with external entities, governmental institutions, universities, and startups. The GEAR evolves as a “smart wellness building” envisioning the future of the environment, city, and living. It is a living laboratory for validating development results and collecting feedback. It is not just a structure, but an ever-evolving system.
