PILARES Quetzalcóatl is a dual-block educational facility in Iztapalapa, Mexico City, an area facing both social and environmental challenges that require planned actions to address the historical backlog. The building was designed to provide free educational and cultural infrastructure to marginalized communities. Our project utilizes a formerly residual plot to create a dynamic space that includes classrooms, workshops, and a landscaped courtyard, all constructed with flexible metallic structures and economically efficient materials to meet the social and environmental needs of the area.
