Duke Kunshan University Phase 2 is designed as a learning-anywhere community, delivering interdisciplinary education and promoting cross-cultural understanding and cross-border collaborations. This campus pays tribute to the historic Abele Quad at Duke University in Durham, USA, while also incorporating local Chinese culture and context, resulting a beautiful fusion of Eastern and Western influences. In line with the ideal of "harmony between humankind and nature," all buildings in Phase 2 are LEED-certified, and all large curtain walls feature symbolic frit patterns to protect birds.
